On 14^th August 2024, Jyoti Prakash Mahila B.Ed. College celebrated the Sawan Mahotsav, with a green-themed celebration. The colorful cultural event was inaugurated by the Director, Shivani Akarshanand, and the Principal, Dr. Anupama Gupta, with a ceremonial lamp lighting. The event kicked off with a welcome song, followed by an Adivasi folk dance that set the tone for the cultural performances.

The cultural program featured performances from various semester-wise groups, showcasing their dancing talents. Students from the 22-24 and 23-25 batches actively participated in the event. In addition, competitions like Mehndi application, Rakhi making, and Sawan Queen competition were organized as part of the festivities. All students participated enthusiastically, contributing to the success of the event.

In the Miss Sawan competition, contestants from both batches walked the ramp to showcase their talent. The winners were:

First place: Shivani Kumari

First Runner-up: Beauty Kumari

Second Runner-up: Zeenat

In the Mehndi competition, the winners were:

First place: Sangini Kumar

Second place: Shreya Kumud

Third place: Anjali Shukla

In the Dance competition, the winners were:

First place: Johnny Xaxa

Second place: Pragati Nandan

Third place: Saraswati

The event was organized and managed by the dedicated faculty members: Avinash Kumar, Arun Singh, Ram Sagar, Ved Prakash, Sujeet Kumar, Veena Tiwari, Maya Tripathi, Akanksha Kumari, Rekha Singh, and Anjana Dubey. The student volunteers, including Sakshi Kumari, Priya Pandey, Anjali Kumari, Anjali Dubey, and Beauty Kumari, also played an essential role in conducting the program.

All students from the 22-24 and 23-25 batches arrived on time and participated actively, ensuring the success of the event and making it a memorable occasion for everyone involved.
